Felicity is very excited about the prospect of a little brother or sister. When we ask her if she wants a baby brother or baby sister, she almost always says little sister! She's got a number of little boy friends, but only her cousin Elisia that's close to her age on the female side so we wouldn't mind another girl. Of course we wouldn't mind a little boy either! Although we doubt she really understands how her world will change when the baby gets here, she says things like "share kib (crib)", "share numni (her word for binky)", and the other day she was holding a piece of a baby toy and without prompting, told Becky "share toy baby come". She's the cutest!Becky has been feeling relatively well. Her biggest complaint is that she's extra tired. She usually goes to bed pretty early, which lets me get some extra work done in the evenings! And if she lets her blood sugar get too low or eats something too greasy or smells something offensive she gets a little sick, but I don't know that she's actually thrown up yet. The offensive smells thing makes it a little interesting to change Felicity's poopy diapers! Of course I change them when I'm around, but when I'm not around she doesn't have any choice, and she's told me she usually puts her shirt over her nose!
I think she's looking great, starting to glow and show a little. Here's a picture from a week or two ago. She's already on to the baby's scrapbook too! She's getting pretty good at scrapbooking. Thanks for indoctrinating her into the cult Margaret! We have an interesting fall and early winter coming up. My company, NCS, has an ADOT project in Oak Creek Canyon between Sedona and Flagstaff that's starting construction in September. It's an incredibly technical and challenging rockfall containment project, and my company will have someone on site full time starting right after Felicity's birthday (which is the 17th of September). I am taking the first few months of the shift, so I'll be up there until Christmas. After that it will be my colleague taking my place. Becky will probably spend a good portion of the time up there with me (and Felicity and the dogs), but not all the time.
